Officer shot in back in the Bronx; suspect in custody

A police officer was recovering in the hospital Wednesday morning after being shot in the back Tuesday night in the Soundview section of the Bronx. It’s the third NYPD-involved shooting in less than a week. Police took a 24-year-old man into custody in connection to the shooting and recovered a gun he had in his possession, the NYPD said.
